In IT, we've been working on posters about instant messaging for the Grade fours as they have just started using iPads this year and are starting to experiment with Messages which has started a few situations as they don't really know how it works. Our posters provided information on instant messaging and how to use it correctly. Today the Pheasants came to the IT room with us for us to show them our posters and teach them about smart messaging. These posters taught them about tone, facial expression and how texting could go wrong. They learned a lot about messaging through these posters and hopefully we helped them be more clear with their messaging. Created using Google Drawings.

Choose Kind

In English, the Grade 6's have been reading a book called Wonder by R.J. Palacio. It was an amazing book to read and it had a really strong impact on me. This book is filled with wonderful themes but what stood out for me the most is how many perspectives you see from while reading this book. This helps you understand all the different sides to different events that took place in the book. It also makes the book more interesting and not so one sided which helps you understand the characters better and follow the story. It also makes you realize that everyone has a reason for what they do and though it might not have been the best decision, it's not only their fault, but that there's at least two sides to every story. This story has changed me with it's touching topics and it has helped me not be so quick to judge. As mush as we all try to be nice, we all sometimes just judge people for no reason. Disconnected

Annie and Sydney were inseparable. Together, they could do anything. They met when they were 5 and ever since then, they did everything together. That was until Sydney moved. At first Annie called her regularly, but soon they started drifting apart. Everything fell apart when the connection broke. The problem was that they were both too busy to call each other. One day Annie found the time to go shopping and there she was! Sydney was right there in front of her. They both couldn't believe their eyes, but they were overjoyed.
